Before photography, Jordan Sapally studied tourism and communication, worked in hospitality and moved through fashion and public relations. Experiences that shaped the way he looks at places, brands and the people who bring them to life.
Travel did the rest. After travelling through more than 35 countries, from Asia to South America, he gradually rediscovered his love for photography. Along the way, he developed a particular sensibility for food, hospitality, atmospheres, light and the way a place can tell a story. He progressively specialised in culinary and hospitality photography.
His work seeks as much to reveal a dish as to tell the story of a place, a team, an intention or a way of welcoming guests. Over the years, he has collaborated with chefs, restaurants, hotels and houses from very different worlds, from the independent artisan to major luxury brands, in France and internationally.
After five years as a freelancer, he founded Jordan Sapally Studio to extend that eye into new territories. Beyond photography, this creative studio will now offer video, a more assertive approach to art direction, larger scale productions and creative guidance to imagine content that is ever more coherent, more singular and designed to leave a mark.
